Open House Tryouts for New Members  There will be open houses throughout July for new members to come by one of our pool locations to tryout.
Bellevue (Bellevue Aquatic Center) - Monday, 7/26 @ 6 PM
Mercer Island (JCC) - Wednesday, 7/28 @ 6 PM
Renton (Lindbergh Pool) - Tuesday, 7/27 and Thursday, 7/29 @ 6 PM

Also, tryouts will be held again in September on the following dates and locations:
Thursday, September 9 @ Mercer Island (JCC) at 5 PM
Friday, September 10 @ Bellevue (BAC) at 6 PM
Monday, September 13 @ Renton (Lindbergh) at 5 PM

Pool Saved!   The Renton School District recently announced that the Lindbergh Pool will remain in operation for the 2010-2011 school year, thanks in  large part to hard work by community members and local businesses who raised $15,000 to help bridge the gap to fund pool operations. 

Thank you to all our Chinook members and parents who took up the cause and sent letters and emails, attended meetings, spoke at meetings, had their car washed and donated proceeds of sales to saving the pool.

Age Group Seattle Open  Another successful meet for the history books.  Thank you to all our wonderful Chinook volunteers who put in many hours during the  weekend to make it happen!

Chinook Masters Group - Chinook's Masters Group is back!  Practices are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Newport Hills from 5 to 6:30 AM.  If you are interested, please contact Kevin O'Shea.

Lystedt Law - All swimmers need to turn in the concussion parent/athlete form to their coach immediately.  The law was newly enacted in Washington State and deals with concussion and brain injury in youth sports.  It is a state and PNS requirement that we have a copy on file of a signed parent/athlete form for each of our athletes. 

The parent/athlete form must be signed by parent and athlete in order for the athlete to participate in practice and competition.  Please turn the form in to your coach ASAP. For more information, please click on the CDC website.
