ASSISTANT COACHES LeAnne McClaskey
Leanne has a long history with Chinook as a swimmer
and a coach. During her competitive swimming years, she became a Top 16
National Qualifier (short-course & long-course), a two-time state
champion and
state record holder for
Seattle Prep, as well as a Junior National-West Champion and

she became an
NCAA All-American & Olympic Trials qualifier. After 13 years of
competitive swimming under her belt, LeAnne began coaching the

Kathleen Turner
"Swimming has always
been a big part of my life. At a young age I took lessons, was on the
town swim team and started my lifelong love for swimming by joining a
USA team. I continued to swim through High School and all the way
through college at Wheaton
College in MA. My favorite event in college was the 400 IM, where
I held the school record for 5 years. In addition to my own swimming, I
was constantly involved in coaching swim lessons, lifeguarding, and
coached a USA team (Patriot Swim Club in MA) for 2 years. Coaching
swimming combines my two passions of working with kids and being at the
pool. I am really looking forward to being part of this great team,
meeting you all and working with your kids in a fun, encouraging
atmosphere." Kathleen recently completed her Masters in Education in
School Counseling.
Kathleen coaches the Renton White and Red groups.
Emery Desper
