SEATTLE OPEN IS ANOTHER BIG SUCCESS:

Dear Chinook Families,

My thanks to all of the volunteers that made the 2004 Seattle Open such a huge success. I am in awe of our club's ability to host such a high profile meet so successfully. The number and quality of compliments received over the weekend from other teams' coaches, swimmers, parents and officials were incredible. I am so very proud of the reputation that Chinook has been built for putting on such a marvelous event. Other teams point to this meet as one of the major highlights of their swim year! To everyone that participated in the effort, THANK YOU! Our ability to host this meet, not only helps maintain our low comprehensive fee structure, but allows Chinook to significantly contribute to the premier US Swimming schedule. At the risk of leaving someone out, I'd like to specifically acknowledge the tremendous contributions to the meet by Suellen & Dan Taylor (Concessions), Dan Hoover (Meet Director), Steve Preston (Communications), Mike & Sandy Molnar (officiating & announcing), Bob Keller (officiating every session), Paul Miller, and last but not least, our swimmers who did an absolute incredible job on filling in the holes in the volunteer list. I was amazed at how hard the swimmers worked at concessions and meet operations. It was truly a "Chinook Family" effort, and an achievement that I believe few clubs can replicate. I'd also like to thank Cascade Swim Club for allowing us to use their timing system and personnel. They were absolutely awesome to work with!

Once again, thanks!
